Carolina Smoke BBQ and Catering

Pretty cool bbq place. We got the daily special which was the prime rib sandwich which comes with Anjou and fries for +$3. The meat was a bit cold but the sandwich was tasty and it was a ton of food. We had this for late lunch and couldn’t eat anything more till noon the next day! The brisket sandwich is a must! It was so tasty, That alone is 5 stars and we got it with Mac and cheese which was also good. We also tried some interesting ciders.

After our first visit we are satisfied and plan to return! First of all, the food is very affordable considering that it's actually prepared from real foods, not like fast food! And it makes great left overs :) We got the 3 meat platter and we're very pleased! Split it for 4 people & 1/2 (2 kids, 2 adults, plus a toddler). We chose brisket, pulled pork & ribs. For sides we got Mac n cheese & collard greens, plus two cornbread muffins. Also added a half a chicken! Yummy. They have tons of sauce of you fancy that. Great fountain drink and other drink options. Very inviting atmosphere and you might even catch a game on the TV, if you done in! Everyone there works hard and is personable!

We had Carolina Smoke cater for our wedding - we were agreed on serving 130 people and if there were more they would keep a running tab. Jim, whom I had spoke to during the entire planning let me know he would make sure there was more than enough food. During our wedding our guests informed us within 30 minutes that they had ran out of buns because they went to the fair before coming to my wedding (horrible planning). Before this, we had our wedding planner go around to each food truck and make sure they were good on supplies and asked if they needed anything else and they never informed her they were almost out of food. On top of that, Jim was telling MY guests that I should have planned this better and saying this was not their fault. A short while after, they started just serving beans (they charged this as a full plate) even though our agreement was for a slider plate which came with sliders and a side. Not to mention, our close friends and family let us know the brisket was not fresh and was dry. After the wedding i reached out and asked to speak to the owner about this mess and he never got back to me. I have reached out via email and phone and they refuse to write back to me. They charged me for 130 plates which they did NOT serve. Horrible service and planning.

Was hungry while getting gas at Safeway and seen this place. Quick google search I knew I didn’t want the sides just some meat. I should have dig deeper in the Yelp reviews. Got out the car to walk up didn’t smell bbq or a grill (red flag ). I still ordered the beef ribs and they looked warmed up in the microwave. Was not good tasty meat at all. The bbq sauce taste like ketchup. waste of 25 dollars left a bad taste in my mouth.

Ordered brisket, pulled pork and wings. Didn't get wings, instead they put ribs in there. Two of us didn't get our baked beans. So, order wrong and shorted items. Food is decent, but not great by any means. Was a bit dry honestly. I know they can make some bomb food, but this order lacked and the accuracy was poor. Pretty expensive lunch to not get what we ordered.

I am highly disappointed on spending good $$ on such poor quality. I had the three meat dinner, sausage, pork ribs and BBQ chicken. The sausage and chicken were good. I just couldn’t eat the ribs (see the pictures). My sides of collards and potato salad was bland. I had to add seasoning to the greens. This was my first time at the new location and sadly my last. I eat at the old location on Bothell-Everett Highway and they did not disappoint.
